“The immediate impression is of the mildness of the pure, airy, bright bouquet,” Dom Perignon’s vintner tells us. “The wine’s opulence — contained and succulent, round at heart — reveals itself in the mouth. The envelope slides and stretches, and the wine becomes more complex and edgy, silkier than it is creamy.”
Dom Perignon is only available as a vintage Champagne and is only produced in exceptional years. The 2010 vintage is a blend of 46% Pinot Noir and 54% Chardonnay. After spending 9 years on lees, this spectacular vintage was disgorged in Autumn 2020 and is perfect to enjoy now or up until 2035. 2010 was a challenging year for the house but it produced an excellent vintage nonetheless.
